Day 3 – Marine Drive & Boating Bliss

On our third day, we explored the modern side of Kochi — Marine Drive and Ernakulam.

Marine Drive is the perfect place for a long evening walk, especially during sunset. We also took a boat ride from the jetty — gliding through calm waters with city lights reflecting around us.

Later, we explored Broadway Market, a busy local bazaar where we bought spices, banana chips, and souvenirs.

Dinner was at The Rice Boat, a floating restaurant — the seafood curry there deserves an award!

Day 4 – Alleppey Backwaters (Day Trip)

Although Alleppey (Alappuzha) isn’t technically in Cochin, it’s close enough for a day trip — and trust me, it’s worth it.

We hired a houseboat for the day and cruised through the backwaters — lush paddy fields, coconut trees, and glimpses of local village life.

The gentle rocking of the boat, the cool breeze, and the delicious Kerala meal (fish curry, rice, and banana fry) made it one of the most peaceful experiences of our lives.
