Waking up this morning, the first thought that crossed my mind was how wonderful the trip to Coorg with Sapna was. Honestly, this journey has infused our old memories with a new, sweet fragrance – exactly like the aroma of coffee and cardamom that filled the air in Madikeri.
Our Coorg Travel Guide was just a plan, but the experience there felt nothing short of magic. When we stayed at the plantation homestay, waking up to the mist and the sound of birds… Those moments were truly invaluable. We took early morning walks together through the coffee estates. Sapna was so happy seeing those huge leaves and the red berries! We clicked photos of each other, and that laughter… wow!
Sunset Serenity: Why Raja’s Seat is the Perfect Romantic View

The most memorable part had to be the sunset at Raja’s Seat. People said it was a common tourist spot, but when Sapna and I stood there in the evening, holding hands, and the sun slowly disappeared behind the Western Ghats, it felt like the entire sky was changing colours just for us. That cold breeze, that view, and Sapna resting her head on my shoulder – I just wanted to freeze that moment forever.
We also visited Abbey Falls. The short trek to reach it took us through coffee and spice trees. The loud rush of the water and the cool spray when it hit us was so refreshing, and we had a lot of fun splashing around.
And the serenity of the Golden Temple was on a whole other level. Seeing those massive, beautiful golden Buddha idols and hearing the peaceful chanting made the mind completely calm. I remember Sapna sitting there quietly for a long time, just listening to the monks.
The taste of Pandi Curry with Kadambuttu is still fresh on my tongue. We had dinner at a local restaurant and tried the authentic Kodava cuisine. Truly, there was a unique warmth and love in their food.
This trip was not just about sightseeing. It was our time – together, away from the noise, cradled by the hills of Coorg. Every page of this Coorg Travel Guide has now turned into a book of beautiful memories. We definitely need to plan a new destination soon!
